So, for example, I have a MIC5205 regulator. I want to have different symbol variant for the adjustable version. Either the component has an adjustable pin or not, so these should be two separate components. Symbol variants are intended only to represent _the same electrical functionality_ by different symbols. ---

Hm, ok, thank you for the answer. Look like I do not fully understand the concept of symbol variants yet, I will elaborate on that.
