Small thing, but something I’ve noticed that is a bit annoying to work with is that, when I am editing my board and in the “Place Devices” tab, I will go back to the schematic to check where the part I am placing is meant to go, the tab changes to “Open Documents”, and then when I go back to the board file, my menu remains at the “Open Documents” tab.

I think it would be a good idea to have the schematic and board have their own saved tabs? Not sure if that would be possible or would mess with other things

Actually I also experienced this inconvenience. I’m not sure if there will be a good solution which doesn’t feel wrong in other cases, but I’ll play around a bit to figure out how this can be improved.

I implemented something. Now let’s see in the upcoming 2.1.0 release if the implemented behavior makes sense.

In many cases there is no automatic panel switching (as this would be very annoying), but for example when leaving the board editor tab on the "place devices" panel, and switching back to that tab later, the "place devices" panel will be reopened - unless the user explicitly switched to another panel page in the mean time.
