I don’t have schematic to footprint and footprint to schematic highlighting. Is it just me or is it missing? I use at the moment the search box to find the part if I don’t remeber where it was placed.

You’re right, this is not implemented yet. We will add it for sure in future.
The search box is one workaround for it. Another workaround I often use is to start the “Draw Wire” (schematic editor) or “Draw Trace” (board editor) tool, click on one pad of the desired component, which starts drawing a new wire. In this mode, nets are highlighted between both editors so its much easier to find corresponding devices and even pads/pins. Then just abort the command with Esc. A bit ugly but works
