R and F are used elsewhere to rotate and change the side of a pcb component, I think it would be nice that when you are placing a wire, you can use R to change the angle mode of it

And use F to change it’s copper layer.

If this was the case, it would also be nice to be able to optionally remove some of these options, as I only ever plan on rotating between options 3 and 4.

Hi,

There are already two easy ways to switch between the wire mode:

  • The right mouse button switches to the next wire mode
  • Keyboard shortcuts 1-5 can be used to directly select a wire mode (see keyboard shortcuts reference)

Is that sufficient for you or would you still propose to have more options?

I think for wire routing this is sufficient, wasn’t aware you could do that, that’s pretty solid.

I remain a believer in “F to swap between copper layer” when doing wire routing, I think it would be very helpful.

There are already shortcuts PgUp/PgDown to switch between the layers. But I agree ‘F’ can be useful too, so I implemented it.

On a similar note to this, it would be nice if keybinds/shortcuts were configurable somewhere

Did you see Workspace Settings → Keyboard Shortcuts? :slightly_smiling_face:

Being able to just hide the ones you dont use would beat shortcuts to all five. When youre working with just 3 and 4 over and over, cycling past the rest gets old.
