Fill PCB empty space with grounded copper

Hi,

I’m still very much an electronics noob and LibrePCB noob. I’m designing a board that I’m going to connect pre-built breakout boards to via male/female pin headers. One of the boards has a compass (BNO085) and the compass is sensitive to interference. So what I’m wanting to do is provide it a bit of shielding by putting this on the bottom of the PCB (with everything else on top), and have the bottom & top of the board be continuous sheets of grounded copper, except for the traces needed to connect the breakout boards. So, I’m looking for a way to fill the void areas of the board with grounded copper. I have several ground pins on several breakout boards that could utilize the ground sheet. How can I do that?

Thanks,
Wayne

Hi,

Just use planes:
