How to import line graphic to legand (silkscreen) layer

I need to import a line graphic into my legand silkscreen layer. There is a “Import DXF” in the FILE menu. Im using a Mac and don’t have an app that creates DXF directly (I have several drawing apps). I can create SVG, EPS, PNG, JPG, etc. but nothing makes DXF. I tried converting several formats using online image converters from SVG, and PNG to DXF and was able to import it but it looked terrible. Does anyone have any experience in solving this problem?

Is there anyway to directly import anything other than DXF to a legand layer? I attached the graphic (I think).

Hi,

For creating DXF files, I can recommend LibreCAD, which is also available for Mac. But as you already have an SVG, I am not sure if it supports converting it to DXF. And you’re right, LibrePCB currently doesn’t support SVG (I’ll have a look if that would be easy to implement for a future version).

I have used some online SVG->DXF converter in the past, and I remember it worked fine. But I don’t remember which website it was. So at the moment I don’t have another recommendation than either drawing it in LibreCAD or finding an online converter :see_no_evil_monkey:
