I am not a fan of Wizards with next next next philosophy. User doesn’t know how many steps are there, and what it is about.
From what I can see, both wizards can be condensed into a single window very easily (simply remove the Welcome dialog from the startup wizard, and put all stuff on one page for the new project wizard), with no Next. Just Finish. Or done. This also removes a need for Back button.
On another note, the Wizard window dialog, do have some weird window hints, making it lack minimize, or close buttons (equivalent to cancel and exit).
