I want to re-use the remote BASE library footprints for INDC0402 etc in my local library with new symbols I have created for ferrite beads. How ?

Hi,

Just create a device in your local library:

https://librepcb.org/docs/quickstart/create-library-elements/device/

It does not matter in which library the corresponding packages are located.

Thanks for the reply. I have now successfully added ferrite bead categories to passives along with some new symbols etc, and components using existing footprints.
