I try to rotate a text in the a symbol to have the text written vertically from top to bottom but nor with the rotate nor with the mirror I can get the text written as desired. The Flip functionality is disabled.

For schematics it is intended that all texts are readable from only 2 reading directions (from bottom and right edge of the paper). If all 4 directions were allowed, it would look like a mess and reading a schematic gets harder.
If I understand correctly, you want a text to be readable from the left edge of the paper. What would be the use-case for that? Or if I’m wrong, could you explain it with screenshots?

Depending on the side of the “grouped PINs” the text for me is readable because I see it like a title:
“AC-INPUT” is the title for the left group
“Switch-Capacitor” is the title for the right group

OK I see, thanks for the clarification. Then I’m sorry, this is currently not possible and to be honest I’m not sure if this use-case is worth to implement it 
As a hacky workaround you could try to rotate it by 0.01°, then it might flip to the other side (not tested).
